Questions?

How do I choose which photos I want?

For individual sessions, you can either choose your photos at your session or, if you need more time, a private link to your unedited proof gallery will be emailed to you. You’ll email our customer support staff to let them know when you’ve made your final choices and we’ll send them to our editors. Your package includes some prepaid images, but you can purchase as many additional images as you like!

Do you photograph outside?

We photograph all headshot sessions indoors, where the weather is always perfect! Our clients enjoy our comfortable indoor settings, with quick access to mirrors, bathrooms, and changing areas…and we enjoy reduced reschedules due to inclement weather. But don’t worry if you were hoping for an outdoor headshot. We can create the authentic, relaxed feel you’re looking for with our blurred backgrounds, or white screen effect.

What’s a white screen?

White screen is what we call our custom background replacement method that gives us endless background options. Thanks to careful coordination between our photographers, editors and AI, we can photograph you and your team in a comfortable and convenient indoor setting but can place you in any number of different backgrounds – indoor or outdoor – after the session…and make it look completely believable. This is a great solution for keeping your team up to date after a company session. Send new hires to our studio and we’ll make them look like they were photographed in the same place as everyone else.

Do you retouch?

We edit your final images to make you look like the best version of yourself. We believe authentic imagery is important and will make sure you still look like you, just refined! Blemish retouching, teeth whitening, gentle skin smoothing, and background clean-up are included in your package. Extra retouching (body shaping, clothing edits) can be purchased as an add-on.

How long will it take to get the photos back?

You will receive your unedited previews the same day as your session. Expect the final edited images within 3-4 business days after selecting your favorites. Rush turn around (24-36 hours) is available for purchase for most sessions.

What should I wear for my headshot?

The details will vary based on your individual goals, but everyone should wear clean, pressed clothing that fits you well and will appeal to the people seeing your headshot! Don’t worry…we have lots more opinions on clothing. Check out our What to Wear page for lots of helpful tips.

Where does my session take place?

The individual sessions are held indoors at our lovely studio in RiNo. Company sessions can be in our studios or at your location.

What are my background options?

Almost anything you can imagine! Check our our backgrounds page to see many options. Don’t stress if you don’t know what to choose. Our photographers can help you pick a background that is flattering and enhances your message.

How long does my session last?


Depending on which session you choose, your session will run anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours. Our faster sessions are great for anyone who wants a quick update without sacrificing quality, while our longer sessions are built for individuals who want more looks and a more relaxed experience (especially good if you worry about needing time to get comfortable in front of the camera). If your company sends you to get a headshot to match your team, you will have a 20 minute session.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Nooo! Can we do anything to help change your mind? We do understand that life happens, so we allow one free reschedule per booking more than 24 hours prior to your session (reschedule fee applies for 2nd reschedule). All rescheduled sessions must be completed within 14 days of the original booking. Read our full cancel/reschedule policy here.
